Rick Sharp, who was born into an entertainment family, made a name for himself as a poster artist in the 70’s surf culture of Southern California. |
About the Artist |
Rick Sharp’s career as a poster artist is firmly rooted in Southern California’s surf culture. His early work include t-shirt designs and posters for O’Neill Wetsuits, Hang Ten Sportswear and the logos for Channel Islands Surfboards, Sims and Andreini. The Artist also created several Fiesta posters for Santa Barbara’s Annual Celebration. As an avid surfer and lover of all things vintage, Sharp delights in creating his retro-surf paintings as much as he cherishes his time in the surf. He captures classic moments in his art at his favorite surfing beaches the way it was when the sport was young. |
