Description |
The Dr. Francis Marion Casal M.D. residence at 1236 Santa Barbara St., the southeast corner of Santa Barbara and East Victoria streets. It was built in early 1888 and occupied by Dr. Casal, his wife, Amelia, daughters Mary and Annie and son Francis. The man in front of the house is believed to be Dr. Casal and the baby his son Francis, born in 1889. The house was sold in 1897 to Charles W. D. Miller, president of the trolley company. Around 1926 the house was moved to the far end of the lot and rotated to face Victoria Street to make way for a gas station. It stands now at 206 East Victoria. |
