Description |
The Arlington Annex, built in 1887, was designed by architect Peter J. Barber (1830-1905), who also designed the Arlington Hotel (1875-1909). The Annex faced the first block of West Victoria Street with Chapala Street running along the edge at far left. It survived the 1909 fire that destroyed the main hotel and was remodeled in 1910 to match the Mission Revival Style architecture of the New Arlington Hotel. It was demolished following the June 29, 1925 earthquake. |
