Description |
Sam Stanwood served as Santa Barbara County Supervisor for 25 years and as Fiesta El Presidente for 20 years. A chief organizer of the first Fiesta in 1924, in 1948 he was made honorary El Presidente for life. This museum was erected on El Recinto Stanwood, a site dedicated to his legacy as commemorated on the stone at the entrance. |
