Description |
This is one of 4 saddles made for Dwight Murphy by Visalia. These saddles were used in Santa Barbara's annual Fiesta Parade and often ridden by friends on one of his many Palomino horses. Heavily carved and tooled leather with heavy silver rope motif around edges. Large silver conches on all corners decorated with horse heads, steer heads and monogram "M" on the front of the fork. Matching heavily ornamented tapaderos. Scene of two cowboys in the desert carved in sliver on back of cantle. Serial #18980 |
