Description |
Both Richard Bell and his brother had distinguished Santa Barbara lineages. Their grandfather was John S. Bell, a major Santa Ynez Valley rancher and a founder of the town of Los Alamos. Their grandmother, Catherine Den Bell, was the daughter of Nicholas Den, grantee of Rancho Dos Pueblos and one of the wealthiest land owners in Santa Barbara County. Richard Bell was for a number of years a general manager of the local television station KEYT. |
