Cook settled in Santa Barbara in the mid-1880s, ultimately specializing in studio portraiture. In 1890, he executed a series of photographs documenting the Trade Carnival of 1890, which raised money to construct Cottage Hospital. Later in the 1890s, he sold his studio to Norman H. Reed. |
